Funding for the work of the Health and Social Care – Integrated Care Partnerships, was made permanent last year which has allowed some vacancies within the ICP Business Support team to be filled.
This support team carry out a vital role as connectors and integrators working through the local ICP committees and with partners from across the HSC and third sector to encourage a more joined up and collaborative approach to improving the health and wellbeing of local populations.
One of the recent appointments to the team, is Gillian Hamilton who took on the role of ICP Third Sector Co-ordinator in September. Gillian has considerable experience in the community sector having worked most recently with East Belfast Community Development Agency and will play an important role in growing the relationships between HSC and the Voluntary & Community sector so that we can better understand the needs of local communities and work together to affect change.
Gillian said: “Partnership working is central to Integrated Care Partnerships with the third sector bringing an important voice to these collaborative networks. I look forward to facilitating the engagement of our third sector partners across the seventeen ICPs.”
