Social Care and Children

The Health and Social Care Board’s Directorate of Social Care and Children commissions social work and social care services for people with different individual needs who require support to live life fully and as independently as possible, for example –

• Children and families.
• People with a learning disability.
• People with mental health needs.
• Older people and adults.

We also have a role to protect the interests of children and adults at risk of abuse.
