Health and Social Care (HSC) organisations have urged anyone affected by the disruption to services as a result of ongoing Industrial Action to log on to Trusts’ websites and social media channels for the latest information.
Over the last couple of weeks there has been significant disruption to HSC services as a result of the industrial action taken by a number of Trade Unions about pay and staffing levels.
Industrial action is expected to continue and regrettably will cause further disruption across all services, including cancellations of planned appointments and treatment.
We sincerely apologise for the distress and anxiety caused to all those patients, service users and family members who have been or may be affected by the industrial action.
Health and Social Care (HSC) organisations are working closely together and remain in regular discussions with Trade Unions to try and mitigate against the effects of any disruption caused by industrial action.
Patient care and safety is of paramount concern to all HSC organisations and remains at the forefront of all HSC contingency planning.
HSC Trusts are working hard to try and contact patients and service users who may be impacted by any disruption to services or cancellations. The Trusts will contact patients in writing as soon as possible to reschedule.
